BMW has offered an early look at the i3 M60, a more aggressive version of its electric i3 scheduled to arrive in 2027. The manufacturer has released initial images but has yet to outline the model's full technical specification.
The M60 badge places the newcomer at the performance-focused end of the i3 range. The preview images point to a visibly sharper treatment than the standard car, though BMW has not disclosed how extensively the variant will differ beneath the bodywork.
Critical details, including powertrain output, battery specifications, range and performance figures, remain under wraps. Those figures will determine whether the i3 M60 represents a substantial engineering step or primarily a more sporting interpretation of the electric model.
The first images were highlighted in a report by Car and Driver. BMW is expected to provide a fuller picture of the i3 M60 closer to its 2027 launch.
