Mercedes is preparing a leaner 2027 lineup, with four prominent variants set to disappear. As reported by Car and Driver, the changes cover the Mercedes-Benz EQE sedan, AMG EQE sedan, AMG S63 sedan and Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV.
EQE sedan exits in two forms
The EQE sedan will leave the range in both its regular Mercedes-Benz configuration and as an AMG performance model. Their departure removes two versions of Mercedes' electric executive sedan from the 2027 catalogue.
Mercedes will also discontinue the AMG S63 sedan. The model has served as the high-performance S-Class sedan offering, placing it among the most prominent combustion-era nameplates affected by the revised range.
At the luxury end of the portfolio, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is also due to depart. Its exit means the 2027 reductions extend beyond conventional Mercedes-Benz and AMG products into the Maybach sub-brand.
