A 21-year-old without a driving licence allegedly took control of a large three-axle flatbed truck and led police on a pursuit lasting roughly an hour.

The truck reportedly reached 76 mph during the incident, exceeding a posted 20 mph limit by 56 mph. That speed was almost four times the stated limit.

The case underlines the risks created when an unlicensed driver operates a heavy commercial-style vehicle. A three-axle flatbed is substantially larger and more demanding to manage than a passenger car, particularly at high speed.

Details of the pursuit were reported by Carscoops.
